Skin track tips and off season goals
While the snow keeps falling, it seems that the ski season in the northern hemisphere is slowly wrapping up. Most hills are closing the lifts, and many backcountry operations have tied things up. For those who are still keen, the skin track is one option that runs as late into the year as you're willing take it.Day 4 of a traverse through clouds; no time for injury.
Skinning it seems, is a great form of exercise; but such greatness does not come without cost. Despite being lower impact than spinning laps on the lifts, life on the skin track can lead to its own set of ailments. But don't let this hold you back! We can fight fire with fire, or in this case, exercise with exercise... and what better time to train than the off-season?!?
