CODY CIRILLO PEDALS TO SKI ACROSS THE AMERICAN SOUTHWEST
Some people choose a life of ease and comfort... (because it’s easy and comfortable perhaps?). Yet, some ride the other side of the spectrum and find themselves always choosing paths that confront most of the obstacles, challenges, and potential failures imaginable.
Putting oneself in the face of challenging moments is basically the same as intentionally choosing to suffer, at least a little bit. Over the years though, I can say I’ve developed a personal soft spot for acute, type-two-fun ‘sufferfests’, and I think I’m starting to get it. Just about anyone can sit and hazard guesses as to why people do what they do, but it takes navigating difficult situations and reflecting on those experiences to recognize how much those moments come to push our development and shape our character.
Check out the short film SOUTHWEST SCRAMBLE, as long time Faction athlete Cody Cirillo leaves his home in Telluride and sets out on a bike to ski journey across the American Southwest. Having never done anything like this before, the film chronicles the highs and the lows of Cirillo’s adventure.
