Stray Dogs - A Backcountry Ski Film
Reports are starting to surface on the web of skiers and riders venturing out to gain some turns. The weather here in British Columbia has been up and down on the temperature charts but it seems freezing levels are starting to creep further and further down towards the valley bottoms. A few of the bigger resorts should be opening up in the coming weeks followed by the smaller ski areas in early December. In other words, as long as the weather cooperates we should be all be on skis within the next month depending on where we live.In the meantime, here’s a video called Stray Dogs – A Backcountry Ski Film. This is an independent film put out by Karl Fostvedt, Lucas Wachs, and Jasper Newton, three guys that have been skiing together for over a decade. The Corbet’s Couloir segment at Jackson Hole is particularly impressive.
