Backcountry skiing video tip - How to put your skis on when on a steep slope
Putting your skis on while standing on a steep, hard packed slope can be a challenge, especially if you use tech bindings. There is a simple trick to make things easy and help ensure you get it right the first time. By crossing your feet and placing your downhill boot in the downhill ski first your ski boot approaches the binding at a more natural angle and provides more precision in lining up your tech pins or frame AT binding toe piece. Watch the following video to see how it's done and give it a try the next time you're out. Hopefully this helps.
