Chile update
For anyone making that long haul down, here is a mid season update for Chile.
There is little cheer in the central zone, but lots in the south. With a 20-60cm base in the 3 Valleys and Portillo, higher groomers are surviving with lots of pebbles, but the off-piste and backcountry is sketchy. From Chillan south there is lots of snow, 1-4 meters depending on altitude. Rain is playing a big part in moving the snowline up, but the main issue is which volcano to ski!
