FREE RIDER: the film
"One interesting fact I noticed about free riders is that the only time they actually look smart is when they're brushing their teeth. For a brief moment in their silence as they gaze deeply in to the horizon of verging summits, it seems like there could be a profound truth to be found in their eyes, and you could almost forget that these mono-maniac nutbags dedicate their entire lives to sliding down some snow."Snowboard photographer and documentary film director Jerome Tanon has done it again. Celebrating the epic-ness of free-riding while also highlighting the personal narratives that exist within it, Tanon's new film "FREE RIDER" follows two athletes on a mission to ride some of Alaska's big mountain spines. Featuring freeride skier/mountain guide Sam Anthamatten and FWT champion snowboarder Victor de la Rue, Tanon's creative perspective brings a fresh and humorous take on the Alaskan project.
