MADE BACK EAST: A FILM
We, out here in BC., have developed an idea of what the backcountry skiing experience is like. We get spoiled with higher mountains, longer runs and deeper powder. Over time, even I — raised in Montreal and having skied Quebec’s mountains for almost ten years — have forgotten about the creativity, the stoke and the great attitude that so many ‘East coast’ skiers carry with them throughout the Winter months. I can look down my nose at Vermont’s end-of-season snowpack, but I can’t deny the passion and the resourcefulness of its skiers. Ultimately, they are chasing those same feelings as me, and earning their experiences on the snow in whatever way they can."Made in the East” is a film showcasing just that. Experience the knee-high pow shots, “shwacky” access (characterized by the need for bushwhacking through overgrown forestry), and relish the laughter and the joy that can be found in moments like these. Let it be a reminder of the fun that can be found out there, regardless of conditions or coverage.
