Looking for Whistler area touring buddies

I will be in the Whistler area in mid-January for a couple weeks. Looking to do some backcountry touring but I will be on my own for at least one week. Does anyone know of any groups or places to meet up with others who are looking to go out on some day trips? I mean besides here of course. 

I'm debating between sticking around the coast mountain area or heading more interior. I've never done any touring in the coast mountains so it would be nice to spend some time there and check things out. 

Any info would be appreciated.
