Calgary Area Intermediate Ski Touring

Hi:

Anyone interested in hooking up for an exploratory trip of only intermediate difficulty (mostly staying out of complex terrain) in the Calgary area (eg: Kananaskis area or Sunshine Village area or the Ice Fields Parkway area)?

Alpine Club trips are often full, and I'm fairly new to touring, and am only an aspiring trip coordinator at the Alpine Club so can't yet add trips.

As a long time resort skier just getting into touring the last couple of years, I have completed AST-1 and AST-2, have a Wilderness First Aid course coming up, and only 6 days touring experience (3 days at Rogers Pass, Lake Louise's Pumpkin Traverse, Redoubt Bowl and Coral Creek, and Reudi's Ridge near Kicking Horse resort) so far. Weekdays are good, heck, most any day when avy conditions are good (like today, moderate, moderate, low!).

Hi Wayne,

Count me in, it would be great to connect get some fresh air, exercise, explore new terrain, and (if the mountain gods are on our side) some turns. I have taken an AST1 course and have been out a few times as well.
