Nelson area touring for four Kiwis late Feb 2015

We are 2 couples staying in Nelson between the 22nd and 27th February, and Rossland between the 28th Feb and 4th March. We have extensive touring experience (especially the guys) here in New Zealand and have spent some time touring in the European Alps. We're very keen to do some touring around Nelson and Red, both full day and shorter. We have the guide books for Whitewater, Kootenay Pass and Red, however there may be other gems around Nelson and Red that are not covered by these that knowledgeable locals might like to share? In return we can offer a beer and help facilitate touring in New Zealand – should anyone be wanting a second winter within a calendar year. Cheers, George.
