Deeper, and deeper, and even deeper......
The Gods of Snow have been kind to us in the interior of British Columbia. The season started off in an average snowfall sort of a way, but here we are less than a month into the ski season and there is complete coverage EVERYWHERE!! We dug a pit at the treeline and it measured 268cm's deep, that's between 8-9 feet deep! If this keeps up that snow depth could be 500cm's or 16 feet of snow by the end of the season. Wow, what a great surprise! I wasn't interested in buying some obsenely wide pow boards but I think that they may have a place in my quiver this season. If anyone else is having a great time in the Okanagan backcountry POST your story! We're a small, dedicated community in this part of the province and we don't have the expanse of terrain like the Coast or the Kootenays but we do have amazing dry, deep powder! Long live the Snowkanagan :)
