        Ripple Ridge Cabin no longer Free!

        For anyone who has enjoyed staying at the Ripple Ridge Cabin at Kootenay Pass, things are about to change. The cabin has been free since forever, but now the KBDRST or Kootenay Boundary District Recreation Sites and Trails is going to start charging for its use. Come November 2012 it will cost $10 to stay at the hut (more than worth the cost of admission) and you will now need to book the cabin in advance. 


        Although it will now cost to stay at Ripple Ridge, this is a small amount of money which will go towards maintaining it and will eleviate the pressure of getting up there early on weekends to ensure you have a spot.
