A salute to Little Jimmy
Unlike classic spring skiing where you get up earlier to get after it before the snow warms up too much, this year it seems to be more about getting up at a decent time and hoping that the snow warms up enough before it's time to ski down - and today was no exception.
Leaving Bow parking lot around 8 we headed off towards Jimmy Jr. (yes, you can still ski pretty much from the car), once again crossed a creek (the third in as many weeks) and headed up the avi path with doubts if the snow would soften up enough with the cloud cover.
Luckily, the clouds broke and we had an amazing run down in perfect corn snow! As a bonus after last weekend's bushwack, we skiied straight to the car! A nice break for our bodies after the last few days of beating ourselves up mountain biking.
