COMP - Kicking my year off RIGHT
As of right now, it appears that I have picked the right year to "slack off" and train for Ski Mountaineering World Championships early next year. The snow came early and deep allowing for more lung busting bootpacks, leg burning descents, and faceshots. It all started on October 3rd with a little teaser.
After a brief relapse into fall, winter started to cement its grip, at least in the high mountains, in late October.
And some early season shenanigans began.
Blue skies and a lack of wind are usually a rarity in November.
Firm windpack kept us honest.
With consistent conditions in November, we could explore.
My great start to the season would not have been possible without the friends I shared those days with.
