COMP - Sleeper storms
Light snow that falls with no wind is the holy grail of skiing. It refreshes the ski conditions without severely impacting the avalanche conditions. Sometimes, the snow falls with little warning and rewards skiers who were going to be heading out anyways. We wait at the top anticipating our turn to ski as the first skier drops in. The light, volatile snow leaps up with every turn and lingers in the air in a cloud that follows us down the run. The effort required to break a trail through the snow is quickly forgotten with the joy of the first turn. High fives are exchanged at the bottom after skiing some nice lines in great conditions.
