Jealous
We spent a couple weeks at the end of October down south in the warmer desert climates of the United States. While escaping the shoulder season of the Rockies is always nice, I was jealous to hear tales of big snowfalls back home and scores of people getting out and enjoying some early season sliding.
Back home, I was keen to get out and see what was left of the snow. I didn’t really care what the weather was like or even if the settled snowflakes had mutated into a treacherous crust. Jealous of stories of big snowfalls and good turns… I just needed to get out and hopefully find some snow to slide on.
November 3, 2012 in the Canadian Rockies… Feels like midwinter already!
