SOAP Box - Since we last spoke
Last time I posted, we were deep into the high pressure system, but also tight in the grip of a cold snap. A lot has happened in the weeks since then weather-wise, but my memories of the last month and a half are of powder skiing, warm weather, cold weather, driving, and racing; repeated as necessary.
When the high pressure finally cracked, I headed west instead of southwest, to Valemount to ski on 3 different mountain ranges.
Some of the deepest snow was in our "home" range, the Rockies!
A couple of weeks later, I was able to snag a week of skiing at Mistaya Lodge, and the skies opened up for a week of fantastic skiing.
