COMP \"I don't think I'll be asking for a refund.\"
“Now I see the secret of making the best persons. It is to eat and sleep with the earth.” Walt Whitman.
Ski touring over the winter landscape, powered by the shear beauty of the Selkirk Mountains, good friends, and powder turns, Rogers Pass B.C. brings inspiration and joy.
“I don’t think I’ll be asking for a refund!” my American friend jokes. Leaving school, jobs, and home, pulling money together for the trip, friends from all over take some time to live the simple life and to connect to the earth. And rewarded we were. Under blue-bird skies and stable avalanche conditions our group of five women took in the beauty from the summit of Young and Jupiter Peaks. We carved the finest of powder turns down the Seven Steps of Paradise and the Asulkan Glacier. And we shared evening meals and laughter together in the Asulkan hut while taking in the alpine-scape illuminated by the full moon. Time in the mountains highlights what is important in life, the simple things.
