PHOTO COMP - Asulkan Valley
Skiing is a bond that joins good friends and when those friends end up in different provinces, skiing acts as a catalyst to bring those people together and refresh those bonds. Rogers Pass was my place to refresh bonds with my good friend Matt who lives in Calgary.
We toured up to Asulkan Hut and spent 3 happy days skiing a minimum of 5500’ per day. The skies were clear, the stability was good and despite a week without any new snow, we were still able to kick up the coldsmoke every day.
Bluebird days meant plenty of photo opportunities and my love of black and white textures was gratified with endless views of tumbling glaciers, wind scoured snow and rolling slopes.
