Avalanche Conditions Report VIDEO
Know before you go out there this weekend with sunny skies and good skiing to be found at higher elevations and in protected areas its easy to be fooled into thinking that things are super stable and you can go big. The Avalanche hazard is is moderate but the surface hoar continues to grow and there are two layers of concern one down 20cms and the other 50-80cms, with both reacting in testing. Never underestimate the surface hoar as it can quickly become a dangerous persistent weak layer.
On top of this, it is still early season and many natural hazards and obstacles are present so ease off on the gas until things improve, but have fun out there!
