        US Avalanche Accidents

        The classic weak layers are arriving just in time for the holidays in most intermountain west locations; unfortunately there have already been two fatalities this year due to avalanche burials; one out-of-bounds at a resort and the other in the backcountry. A third avalanche burial occurred last weekend inbounds at Steamboat (read more here). Both fatality reports are linked to below:

        Tune in to the forecast, be aware of the risks, and be refreshed; avalanche season is in full swing!
