My bro and I went up there a couple of years ago. THere was a huge storm cycle that went through when we were there. John Baldwin's book has great descriptions of two good tree skiing areas. As you turn left and drive towwards Stewart there is some great tree skiing on your left. Above the trees there are some amazing alpine bowls. Continuing along towards Stewart the topography gets pretty aggressive. The valley is super steep, almost too steep for skiing. However there is some great skiing up on the Bear Glacier which comes to within 500m of the highway. There are three icefalls to get to and the third one is a little tricky to get through. Start early, or better yet pack a tent and try to get up on the Cambria Icefield and ski some peaks if you have the weather and time. We had epic POW and enjoyed using Stewat as a base. The better the conditions, the more options you will have. Terrace is pretty awesome as well. Hut trips to Anderson Cabin are pretty wicked. This cabin is right out of town. Good tree skiing and alpine lines are pretty abundant.
