25 - 40cm of POW
The snow was deep the winds were calm and the sun fought to shine - the perfect day to go skiing. Today was the opening of the Glory Ridge Chair and hoots and woo-hoo's filled the valley as we ascended Evening Ridge to get a birds eye view of the new Glory Ridge Terrain.
It is BIG.

There has been alot of traffic up the south face of Evening Ridge as the up track can attest to, but still lots of good lines to be had. We choose to do a quick lap down the north side of Evening Ridge and then come back up for lunch at the top of East Peak.
The skiing on the north aspect had up to 40cm of great light snow but it's still early season skiing as many natural hazards still exist. The south side of Evening Ridge was a different story - better coverage and some nice open shots off East Peak. 25cm of light snow was enjoyed by the group and in un-treed areas you could say that there was a very slight sun crust to be found on top - but still nothing to dampen the spirits of this pre-christmas tour.
