Avalanche at Whitewater Ski Resort
On Friday March 2nd someone was very luck to walk away from a size 3 avalanche that occured on a popular backcountry route called The Whale's Back. The Slide started at 2000m and was 400m wide with an 84cm crown. This is big - have a look at the photo to get a better sense of the size of this thing. This is a wake up call for those heading out that things are still reacting out there - be carefull!
