Feb. 7 -- Scob's Knob
Skied into Scob’s Knob yesterday at around 3:00. Super sunny—and felt almost spring-skiing-like immediately after we dropped in off Ymir/Half Dome Col. There were lots of people in the bowl enjoying the afternoon with views all around. We skied down the top part to the trees and continued along the right edge. Things were a little sluffy and heavy from sun bake-age but still fun. The bottom of the bowl (out of the sun) had crusted up and was mediocre at best. Needless to say, a little snow from above would be appreciated. Funny though, pow or no, it’s always worth the walk.
