Into Scob's from the Col
Saturday was one of those days you thank the lord touring gear was invented. We skied from the Ymir/ Half Dome Col down into Scob's Knob. The top bit was a little wind-whipped but once we came to the trees at the tippy top of Scob's, the fun meter hit red. It's a little tricky in there because I am never sure where the cliff band is. We stuck skier's right of the trees (and in the trees in the edge) and found some great snow. The top 10-or-so cms were sloughing a bit but not running very far. Into the bottom of Ymir bowl was, as predicted, a little manky. Regardless, it meant we were near the lodge and a cup of coffee. Lovely sun and great visibility too. Next?
Did I say iconic?
