No epic powder skiing today

I know the hill and the slackcountry have being going off after our huge dump over the last couple of days.  I see it by the cars stacked up all the way to the Yimer/Salmo sign post at the hitching spot.  I even gave a ride up to the WH2O road to a gal snowboarder who dumped her bo when his 4WD crapped out on him..How does the saying go "no friends on a powder day".  Anyway, I just wanted to say on this epic day I did not put on the backcountry sticks nor even the alpine boards.  No today I opted for the XC skinnies instead.  I headed out to Apex for good old fashion lung butter burning skate skiing.  It was a fine day and even though they did not groom Busk still well worth the price of admission.. I also got to help with my son's K1 class from St Joes up for the afternoon and this was worth a 1000 powder days...  no to say anything against powder days just wanted to keep it really from my little universe.
