Soap Box Comp_Whitewater Sidecountry

As skiers we seek out premium snow conditions and as a photographer I am drawn to the best lighting conditions.  Late in the afternoon during the Coldsmoke Powder Fest, the light on Joker was fading but Catch Basin was open and catching some nice afternoon light.  We decided to go for it and were blown away at what greeted us on the ridge – full sunlight and snow fleeced trees.  It was a winter wonderland and photographers paradise! .... and the skiing was excellent.
