White Queen Rules
Sorry about the title. I couldn't help myself. We hit White Queen around 12:30 or 1:00 today, taking advantage of the Whitewater backcountry lift-assist program to get there. Wow. The top section to the side of that biggish slide path area was excellent. The crust from yesterday all but buried under the 10-or-so cms that seemed to have fallen since daybreak. The excellence continued until the final quarter before the XC ski trail at the bottom. There, the alders came into play and made skiing a little tricky. The Queen could still use more snow but it's getting better (and is already pretty dang good). Little-to-no skier traffic up there too.
